We anchored at Academy Bay and the fog was hiding Santa Cruz Island, one of the reasons the Islands were known as the “Encantadas”. We started with a visit to the Giant Tortoise Breeding Center, learning about the restoration program. Afterwards, our guests went for a visit to a local school, a hydropic farm, or the traditional farm. All of this before lunch!
A delicious lunch was served at Rancho El Manzanillo. Here is where the magic happens. Our guests had the privilege to encounter the giant tortoises in their natural habitat. What a great day we enjoyed today!
