It’s a foggy morning in the Drake Passage as we leave the Antarctic Peninsula behind and head back north to Ushuaia, Argentina. This morning, we reluctantly returned our outdoor expedition gear in readiness for our departure. But the trip isn’t over yet, as this morning we got to hear Captain Martin Graser chatting about the design, construction, and operation of this amazing ship, National Geographic Resolution, which has allowed us to undertake this incredible adventure through the ice.

This afternoon we had a presentation by National Geographic Photographer Tommy Heinrich entitled, ‘On Assignment with National Geographic Magazine’, where we were treated with many tales about his past adventures. In the evening after dinner we had a fun quiz night, challenging everyone on what we’ve learned throughout our expedition to Antarctica.

As evening falls on our penultimate day onboard, many of us are only starting to process the sights, sounds, and adventures from the previous week, creating memories that will last a lifetime!
