North Seymour welcomed us as we walked among an eclectic mix of wildlife. Immediately apparent were the numerous seabird species above, catching the updrafts from the ocean. Frigatebirds in particular hovered, awaiting the opportunity to possibly steal a meal.

An inland jaunt allowed us to encounter Galapagos land iguanas searching for any vegetation to feed upon. Grey palo santo trees surround us as we walked among breeding colonies of great and magnificent frigatebirds.

As we headed into the afternoon, we entered the sea for the first time at Rabida Island, finding young Galapagos sea lions playing, as well as whitetip reef sharks, moray eels, stingrays, and an abundance of colorful reef fish.

A late afternoon stroll brought us to a brackish pond with nesting American flamingos, a fine way to finish this exploration.
