It was a wonderful day on Isabela Island. We had the opportunity of walking amongst the giant tortoises of the Galapagos in their natural habitat. What a splendid experience to see these prehistoric looking animals up close. More than two dozen were roaming around us! What a surprise, we were very lucky.

In the afternoon we moved to Tagus Cove where we went in the water to swim with penguins, turtles, and so many different species of fish.

To finish our day, we explored the coastline of the island and we saw so many animals. Completely delightful. We returned to National Geographic Endeavour II with a lovely sunset at our backs.

We cannot wait for our next adventure in this paradise.
