Liz Czok
Liz grew up in the Green Mountain State of Vermont where she enjoyed hiking, snowboarding, freshwater snorkeling and berry picking. But she always longed for a life on the ocean.
A high school field trip to Forfar Field Station on Andros Island, Bahamas was her first glimpse into the magic of the underwater world, and she was hooked. Returning to the beautiful landscape of home, Liz dove in and got her open water diver certification at age 17. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Marine Biology, studying at the University of Rhode Island, Coastal Carolina, and James Cook University in Queensland, AUS. During her time in Australia, she achieved her goal of becoming a SCUBA instructor. Liz’s education and life experiences have given her the opportunity to travel and work as a Naturalist in Alaska and throughout the Caribbean. As a SCUBA instructor and a certified USCG Captain, Liz has helped countless others experience their dreams of diving- from the cold waters of New England, to the deep blue oceans of the South Pacific and Caribbean.
Liz’s love of the ocean has morphed into a nautical lifestyle. She was very fortunate to call the ocean her home for 6 years, while living full time and traveling on her sailboat, Meraki. In 2024 Liz traded in her sailboat for an RV with hopes to travel across the US. When she isn’t working for Lindblad, you’ll find Liz on the water in Crystal River, FL. She is a Captain for multiple Manatee Eco-Tourism companies and assists with local Manatee rescue and releases.
