Jordan Vest

Jordan is a geoscientist from the United States with a bubbling curiosity about the natural world. Throughout her studies in Geology and Environmental Science at Miami University, she immersed herself in fieldwork and research opportunities wherever she could. These early experiences sparked a lifelong love for exploring remote and wild places, laying the foundation for her passion to connect people with the environment and advocate for its protection.

After graduating, Jordan's adventurous spirit led her to pack everything she could squeeze into a backpack and head to Central America to volunteer with local ecotourism and sustainability initiatives. Her journey continued around the world where she took on roles as a volunteer, researcher, guide, and tutor, eventually leading her to Baja California and Alaska with Lindblad Expeditions. As a geologist, she finds joy in interpreting the natural history of the Earth that is woven into rocks, revealing our planet's past and connecting it to the vibrant places we get to explore today. Currently, Jordan is pursuing her academic interests in Saudi Arabia, studying the Red Sea and aiming to explore how Earth system processes impact critical ecosystems like coral reefs.
