Jayden O'Neill
Jayden O'Neill is a former Marine Biologist turned video and photo-journalist from the East coast of Australia.
Beginning his career working as a fisheries Biologist off the coast of Vancouver Island in Canada, he made the move back to Australia where he continued in the field for 5 years.
As a glorified fish counter, he worked in far flung regions of the world, from the Sub-Antarctic regions of Heard and McDonald Islands to the Coral Sea South of Papua New Guinea.
Realizing that photo and video had greater impact than counting fish on the decks of stinky fishing boats, he made the move into the world of communication, using his Marine Biology background and access to remote areas of the world to showcase its breath-taking natural beauty, hoping to connect people back to nature.
Now living in Australia's Northern Territory, Jayden freelances for the Australian Broadcasting Company as a cinematographer, producer and journalist focusing his energy on the intertwined relationships between First Nations Australians and the natural environment.
