We spent our morning in a blessedly sunny Tobermory, a town on the Isle of Mull known for its colorful storefronts. Some of us went on a hike with local Geologist Sheamus to learn about the island and see Tobermory Lighthouse. Another group enjoyed a tour of Tobermory Distillery, and some chose to explore the shops and cafes.
We boarded the ship for lunch and sailed past the Isles of Eigg and Rum in search of wildlife. We were rewarded with a small pod of common dolphins just as we reached Inverie. While on the mainland, this town is only accessible by boat or a sixteen-mile hike.
We spent the afternoon ashore exploring Inverie and the surrounding nature. After dinner, we paid a visit to the Old Forge, the most remote pub in mainland Britain.
Tomorrow is the last full day of our beautiful journey.
