Our morning excursion to Brattvaeret, in Smola Norway, began with a guided tour of the once thriving fishing community. We enjoyed the cold crisp air and the rainy atmosphere as we gently hiked around the island – heading to a viewpoint on a mossy, grassy knoll. It felt peaceful and quaint. After a short walk, we headed to the local church to learn more about the history of this special destination. Afterward, we ate delicious, freshly made waffles which we topped with homemade strawberry jam and a tart sour cream.
It was another memorable day on our exploration of Norway.
