Sea and sun were the flavors of the day. To make our landing this afternoon, we dedicated a bit of time to covering ground and cruising for wildlife. Wildlife won out. We saw multiple groups of dolphins, including bottlenose and long-beaked common dolphins. In typical style, they veered towards our ship as we approached and spent roughly 20 minutes exploiting the pressure wave off our bow before breaching and mating before our eyes! All hands (and cameras) were on deck for the spectacle.

Our afternoon and evening offered a very different experience. From desert hikes to snorkeling to a beach barbecue to painting the fossilized sandstone cliffs with headlamps during an evening photography tour to a concerted scorpion hunt…we checked a lot of boxes. Puerto Los Gatos was our destination and our playground today. Oh, and the weather certainly didn’t spoil the party!
