Oban is a bustling town that provides services for surrounding communities and transportation for visitors and locals alike: ferries, buses, and trains all leave from here. We had the morning to explore Oban’s trails and shops before setting sail on Loch Linnhe, heading towards our destination for the day, Corpach, a village at the start of the Caledonian Canal.
Once at Corpach, we disembarked for Glenfinnan up in the nearby mountain glens. A few stayed down to kayak in Loch Linnhe, with the United Kingdom’s highest mountain Ben Nevis rising above. Glenfinnan’s Estate Manager Alistair Gibson joined us after dinner, providing a bit of insight into what it takes to run an estate like Glenfinnan.
