We arrived at Nuku Hiva in the Marquesas Islands to the stunning topography and waters of this tropical paradise. The morning was spent exploring the beach and snorkeling with an abundance of fish and corals. Our resident scientist Maya Santangelo went out to find and document mantas around the area and was able to get some stunning photos of these majestic creatures.

In the afternoon we were treated to an incredible cultural performance at the Kamuihei archaeological site, situated under a towering banyan tree. While at the site we were delighted by sightings of an endemic Marquesas imperial pigeon.
