Just north of the Arctic Circle, the steep cliffs of Nordfjorden, ablaze with sun, rose high above National Geographic Resolution as we sailed toward the end of the fjord early this morning. Conditions were perfect for kayaking and Zodiac cruising, and our guests had ample opportunity to take ‘picture perfect’ photos of the glorious landscape of arctic Norway under a blue sky. We spent the afternoon at sea as we sailed for the archipelago of Traena, home to Norway’s oldest, continuously-inhabited fishing village. After dinner, we went ashore to explore the island of Husoy and mark our final moments above the Arctic Circle in this stunning location.
