Today we sailed through grand landscapes that gave breath to the wild forest. We sailed past a basalt volcano that served as a pinnacle to the main attraction for today: Misty Fjords. The Fjord opened to a beautiful meadow with streams that the zombie salmon ran through after spawning. The cliff faces shot up hundreds of feet into the air, resembling Yosemite. This area, in all its glory, has luckily been protected by the government.
Today guests could enjoy a Zodiac cruise or kayaking. Kayakers had a chance to get up close and personal with harbor seals, while the Zodiac cruisers adventured up close and personal with waterfalls. All guests enjoyed a spectacular array of rainbows.
As the day closed, guests came together on the sundeck to enjoy cocktail hour and the glistening sun. For recap the undersea team showed the spooky wonders of the deep. It was a lovely last day in Alaska!
