With still seas and relatively clear skies, Inverie was beautifully quiet this morning. We had a smooth journey to Armadale on the Isle of Skye, our first stop of the day. Upon arrival, we disembarked to visit the Clan Donald Centre with time to explore Armadale Castle and Botanical Gardens.
From Armadale, it was onward to the Kyle of Lochalsh, a small town at the base of the bridge to the Isle of Skye. The afternoon provided two options: visiting Eilean Donan Castle or taking a nature walk through the woodlands on the edge of town. This was a tough choice, but both options provided excellent outings.
Evening found us gathered for a farewell toast and dinner, complete with Robbie Burn’s address to the haggis. Traditional Scottish music capped off the day. What a good ending to a fantastic week.
