Today we spent the entire day enjoying Magdalena Bay. After a morning of whalewatching we went ashore on Magdalena Island. One of our favorite hikes is across the huge dune fields out to a beach on the Pacific that we have named Sand Dollar Beach. There are millions of sand dollars and other shells that have washed ashore. We spent a couple of hours looking at the beach treasures, then returned to the ship for a delicious fiesta prepared by some of our friends from the small fishing village of Puerto San Carlos.
