Glacier Bay National Park
Glacier Bay National Park is the playground for the day ahead.
Looking forward to our day’s events, we pick up our Ranger, Sarah Keefer.
Awakening, we grab coffee and hot chocolate, and gather on deck for our first look at Glacier Bay.
Countless seabirds were spotted at South Marble Island. Puffins, murres, and kittiwakes.
Introduction to the park, while warming up down in the lounge.
Entertainment is provided by a stellar sea lion contest!
Rain clouds provide a backdrop for the dramatic glacier carved cliffs.

Brown bear, walking along the shore at Tidal Inlet.
Along the way we find mountain goats at Gloomy Knob.
Yearning, craving for more, we headed to Lamplugh Glacier.

Northbound, we continued on to Margerie, watching for calving
Arctic terns, kittiwakes, and murrelets,
Teams competed in “Sea Lion Jeopardy”
Ice floating, falling from the glaciers abound.
ORCAS!! Cocktail hour interrupted by another marvelous sight. Killer whales are spotted.
National Parks – this one is the crown jewel.
Amazing, what a day we had…we couldn’t have asked for anything better
Learning to maneuver the Sea Lion, younger guests pilot us back down bay.

Pulling along the dock we berth at park headquarters.
Ashore at Bartlett Cove, we walk to the lodge or around the forest trail.
Remembering our time in Glacier Bay, wow it was incredible.
