Española Island

Every day is a new experience. I have been working in the Galápagos for twelve years, and I’m always exited each time I visit the islands. As naturalists licensed by the National Park and working here full time, we are the first ones to witness everything that happens in the islands: when the birds start nesting, when the eggs hatch, watching to see if the parents are able to raise the chicks, and trying to find an answer if they do not. Even watching the new young marine iguanas increase in size over the months, their fresh-looking skin gleaming against the dry rocks.

Española is an island everybody loves with its thousands of sea birds. With birds from the tropics, much further south and other places, it is a unique place on earth where it is possible to see them together.

Every day is successful with all these amazing creatures posing for pictures; where every visitor could possibly take the picture of his life. It is impossible to not shoot a good picture here.

Those who know Galápagos know what I’m talking about. If you haven’t visited Galápagos, I’m sure by now you have an idea already of what you are missing.
