Today we started with an early walk over Cormorant’s Point, located on the north side of Floreana Island. Along the trail, we stopped by a saltwater lagoon where we encountered two flamingos. We also got the chance to appreciate the different colors of the different beach areas, and we took a lovely walk in a dry forest.

Then National Geographic Endeavour II moved to Champion Islet, a satellite islet in the middle of the water. At the convergence of ocean currents, this rock has ideal conditions for a great diversity of marine life.

To finish a great day full of activities, we took a short walk to Post Office barrel. Here our guests continued the tradition, a system of hand delivery for mail that was started by whalers in the 1800s and continues today. This happens to be the only mailing system of the Galapagos! We complemented this activity with kayaking and stand-up paddleboarding.
