Our final day aboard Sea Cloud II was bathed in golden light and picture-perfect weather. We began with a guided walking tour through the storied streets of Dubrovnik’s Old City. Some guests scaled the historic city walls, while others visited the ancient monastery pharmacy — among the oldest in Europe — to delve into the legacy of the “fathers of pharmacy.” From the city, we traveled inland for a traditional peka lunch accompanied by live music in the peaceful Croatian countryside. In the afternoon, a refreshing swim call off the ship offered a moment to savor the Adriatic one last time. Evening brought us into the intimate atmosphere of a local library, where clapper music filled the air. We concluded with the world premiere of our guest slideshow — a moving tribute to our shared experiences, the beauty we’ve witnessed, and the memories we’ll carry long after we disembark.

Sea Cloud II
Rovinj and Pula, Croatia
This morning we visited the ancient fishing town of Rovinj, which still exhibits a distinct Venetian character, architecture, and dual language signs, after centuries of rule by “La Serenissima.” We climbed up the hill to the majestic cathedral of St. Euphemia, then through Roman ruins and the maze of little lanes, typical of any small town that took form in medieval times. Next we explored the central part of the Istrian peninsula, visiting San Tommaso winery, where we savored local products offered on cutting boards and tasted autochthon wines. Sea Cloud II was waiting for us in the old Istrian capital of Pula, where we had the option to eat lunch on board or enjoy local restaurants. In the afternoon we visited an amazingly preserved Roman amphitheater which still proudly stands as the main landmark in modern days. We finished the day with a sunset dinner on the lido deck.
