Our second day here in the Pacific Northwest began in the turbulent waters of Deception Pass. We explored this narrow waterway with Zodiacs, finding all manner of life including kelp forests, lazy seals, and numerous herons.

After making headway north, we landed on Point Roberts, a small nub of America that‘s cut off from the rest of Washington by Canada. Here we walked along the shore and enjoyed cocktails in the evening before venturing out again into the Salish Sea.
