We started our expedition with an early morning outing to the confluence of the black and white waters at Clavero Lake. Here we spotted grey and pink dolphins that were fishing in the area, bringing their heads out of the water to breathe every now and then.
After breakfast we explored deeper along the creek to find a troop of squirrel monkeys. This is still the mating season for this species, so many of them were carrying their babies on their backs.
In the afternoon, we explored the beautiful Supay Creek in search of wildlife. We found three-toed sloths feeding on the top of some trees. We also spotted a beautiful laughing falcon. The creek is flooded at a point in the forest where smaller birds were found in great numbers. Here we spotted the beautiful cotinga and colorful scarlet macaws.
