Guests of National Geographic Sea Bird enjoyed exploring the deepest canyon in the United States, Hells Canyon on the Snake River. Under a bluebird sky, we spotted bighorn sheep, mule deer, turkeys, and birds of prey along the way. Towering cliffs of ancient basalt rose on either side of the river, invoking our sense of awe at the massive lava flows that occurred millions of years prior.
