Today National Geographic Endeavour II visited two of the most iconic islands in the Galapagos. In the morning we arrived at Bartolome Island, a very young and scenic volcanic islet, located in the central part of the archipelago. Later, we went to Sombrero Chino, a very small spatter cone surrounded by crystalline turquoise waters. Both places host an incredible amount of marine creatures, including one of the rarest birds on the planet, the Galapagos penguin.
