We began our day early in the morning with a pre-breakfast hike that allowed us to understand the formation and volcanism of the Galapagos Islands. Bartolome Islet offers us the feeling of being transported back to a time when the land was newly formed.

After breakfast, we spent time at the beach. The area is home to a small colony of Galapagos penguins, and our guests enjoyed swimming with them, playing with sea lions, observing Pacific green sea turtles, white tip sharks, rays, and many colorful fish.

In the afternoon we arrived at Cerro Dragon in the northwestern realm of Santa Cruz Island. The outing allowed us to visit the home of one of the most emblematic creatures of the archipelago, the golden reptile (Conolophus subcristatus) Galapagos land iguanas. We learned everything about these endemic reptiles and the efforts of conservation that allow us to enjoy them and this place today. It was a very special experience in paradise!
