Eclipse anticipation runs at a fevered pitch this morning aboard National Geographic Venture. Bow riding dolphins spend 15 minutes guiding us into Bahia Concepcion in the early morning, where we will post up (hipster lingo) for the eclipse. Our pastry chef whipped up a batch of delicious day/night cookies, and the bar concocted an eclipse cocktail for the event. Our latitude gave us an 85% eclipse, which cast a somewhat ominous shadow over the bay, but National Geographic Venture’s playlist of sun related songs kept everyone in good spirits.

We did manage to sandwich in a hike, snorkeling, and some kayaking in the non-eclipse hours of the day.
