Who should I contact if I need to change my flights?

 

If you have booked your flights through the National Geographic-Lindblad Expeditions Air Department, but aren’t already at the airport, you can call the Air Department at 1-800-444-7739. For those who are already at the airport, please work directly with the airline.  

 

What if my flights are cancelled or delayed?    

 

If you are already at the airport, it is often easiest to work with the airline directly. If you have booked your flights through the National Geographic-Lindblad Expeditions Air Department and your flight is canceled or delayed prior to your arrival at the airport, you can call the Air Department at 1-800-444-7739 during normal business hours. If it is outside of normal business hours, you can call the afterhours phone number provided in your travel documents.

Where can I see my flight schedule?

 

After booking with the National Geographic-Lindblad Expeditions Air Department, you will receive an email with your flight schedule and other important details.

 

How would I be notified of an airline itinerary change?

 

If changes occur, you will receive email updates from National Geographic-Lindblad Expeditions letting you know. Additionally, most airlines allow you to link the booking to your frequent flier number so you won’t miss any notifications.

 

Can I select my own preferred airline?

 

Yes, a National Geographic-Lindblad Expeditions Air Specialist can assist you with booking on your preferred airline. The one exception is expeditions that are booked with an air credit as part of a promotion.

 

Does National Geographic-Lindblad Expeditions provide transportation from the airport to the port?

 

National Geographic-Lindblad Expeditions provides f from the airport to the port for some expeditions but not all. You will find specific details in your expedition guide, but if you are unsure, please contact an Expedition Specialist at 1-800-397-3348.

 

Can I reserve my seats or make special requests?

 

The National Geographic-Lindblad Expeditions Air Department tries to accommodate specific seat preferences and other special requests, but as they are subject to availability, air specialists are not able to guarantee them.

 

What if I want to purchase business or first class?

 

You can easily book first class or business class tickets when booking your flights with the Air Department. These are subject to airline pricing and availability. The one exception might be when booking a trip that includes an airfare promotion; this would be subject to the terms of that promotion.

 

Do all guests have to book the same fare type?

 

The National Geographic-Lindblad Expeditions Air Department is able to book flights, seats and air class on an individual basis should you wish.

 

When is the latest that I can purchase air?

 

There is no last date to purchase, except Free Air (Free Air must be purchased 90 days in advance). If your selected itinerary is not eligible for Free Air, then you may book your air travel right up to the last minute, but please be aware that as your departure date gets closer, prices may increase. It is strongly recommend to book your flights as soon as you’ve confirmed your expedition.

 

Can I fly in days before and/or leave days after my cruise date?

 

Yes, flights can be booked around your preferences and schedule. Please note that flights booked with an air promotion might be subject to terms which limit this ability. Connect with the Air Department for details if you have any questions.

 

Can I get one-way air transportation?

 

The National Geographic-Lindblad Expeditions Air Department is happy to help you with a one-way flight. Please note, however, that those booked on a voyage that includes an air promotion might be subject to limitations from the terms of the promotion.

 

Can I book air for a back-to-back cruise?

 

The National Geographic-Lindblad Expeditions Air Department will be happy to coordinate flights for back-to-back cruises.

When do I need to pay for my air booking?

 

Flights are not confirmed or booked until you have paid for the flight in full. Once you have booked your expedition and selected your flights, it is recommended that you pay your invoice promptly to ensure your flight details have been finalized.
