Kenneth Monsen
Kenneth grew up on the west coast of Norway, and soon developed an interest for arctic areas. He is educated in spatial planning, but has worked for a number of years in Svalbard as a guide with a dogsled. He also overwintered with his wife as a trapper on Svalbard for one year. Now Kenneth lives in the mountains in southern Norway, where he works with spatial-planning in a local community. He still keeps an interest in dog sledging, and keeps 10 Alaska Huskies for use during the long winter. Kenneth joined Lindblad Expeditions-National Geographic in 2004, and has been traveling with National Geographic Explorer along the Norwegian coast and on Svalbard ever since.
