Ida Olsson

Ida was born in Sweden and was a high school teacher in physical education and history. During her time in school, she worked as a white-water rafting and snowmobile guide. After some time as a working teacher, she began to work fulltime as a guide in the wilderness of the northern most part of Sweden. In 2014 she moved to Longyearbyen on Svalbard and there she guides people on snowmobile, glacier hikes and skiing trips. When she is not there, she joins various expeditions ships around the world.

Now as an experienced guide with over 18 years in the outdoor industry Ida has since become an Expedition leader and is a Senior Polar Guide for the PTGA (Polar Guides Tourism Association). Ida has a special interest in history, glaciology and wildlife and is happy to share her knowledge with some story telling.

Ida is always looking for adventures, she is one of the last to ski at the North Pole. With many years of guiding, she still always loves to be in nature and to travel around the unique places of the world and to give the guests the experience that will give them the adventure of a lifetime.
